📺️ Pregame Pete. I teased this a few weeks back and finally got to share the exciting news on Tuesday. I’ll be heading out to L.A. on September 5th to help with YouTube’s pregame show for the Friday night game (Chiefs vs. Chargers) in Brazil:

A few FAQ follow-ups:

• Yes, it is the real-life dragon meme.

• I won’t be in Brazil (I realize that graphic makes it confusing), but I appreciated all the jokes nonetheless.

• I won’t be in person with Kay Adams (she’ll be in Brazil), so you will have to tell her you love her your self.

• I still need to clarify whether they’d like me, Manz, or “Davis” to show up.

One of these days I’ll share the full backstory on how this all transpired, but for now I need to get back to watching Honey Badger tape.

🎉 20k on YouTube. We hit 20k YouTube subscribers during Monday’s Best Ball Breakfast.

It’s been a slow burn since I started making videos in 2016 (s/o Manz) when compared to a lot of other fantasy football channels—we hit 15k exactly two years ago—but it always feels good to hit one of these milestones:

I will never have the biggest subscriber base, but I’d be hard-pressed to find a higher-quality audience. Sincere thank you for all of the views, chats, comments, likes, and gifts over the years. You guys rock.

We also put together a massive piece where we ranked every team stack from worst to first and did a Zero RB redemption mock draft diary.

🚶 Book #6 for August (35%): Playworld: A Novel by Adam Ross.

I’m still slowly working my way through this. It feels weird to say you are “enjoying” a book about a bunch of predatory adults taking advantage of a 14-year-old child, but I do enjoy his writing.

I’m about a third of the way through, and I’m not sure there’s enough plot to keep us moving for another few hundred pages. I guess the author described it as a “slow walk” somewhere and that’s very much the case.
