In this week's P.O. Box:

  • 3 stray thoughts

  • Content roundup: Week 11 prep

  • On Tap: After Dark, Week 11 Cram & ShipCast

  • Book Club: Chipping away

A few random thoughts this week…

Pluribus. I was very excited for the new Vince Gilligan show starring Rhea Seehorn on Apple TV. The pilot was incredible…and then I really disliked the massive tonal shift in the second episode. I won’t spoil anything, even the premise, because it was a lot of fun to go in blind. I’ll see how I feel after watching the third ep.

Guest spots. I normally don’t have too much bandwidth to do extra shows in-season, but enjoyed squeezing in two guest spots yesterday:

  • Talk Data With Me - Hopped on with Dwain to discuss lessons learned from 2025 best ball after 11 weeks and how DFS has really reshaped how I think about season-long.

  • Swolies Only - Filled in for Davis Mattek, who is on paternity leave, on this week’s members-only Swolecast show. Some good Dad and content talk with Kitchen.

Eliminator update. I lost my final team in the main Eliminator contest last week, although I do still have one team in the Big contest. Loved the format, though, and can’t wait to do even more next year.

🏃 Book #9 for November (25%): The Splendid and the Vile by Erik Larson.

Enjoying this so far but not ripping through it as quickly as I’d hoped. Partly because I’m not reading as much at night and partly because it’s not as gripping as some of the other Larson stories.

🏃 Book #8 for September (COMPLETED): Endure by Alex Hutchinson.
🤼 Book #7 for August (COMPLETED): Playworld: A Novel by Adam Ross.
🚶 Book #6 for July (COMPLETED): Things Become Other Things: A Walking Memoir by Craig Mod.
