In this week's P.O. Box:
So You Think You Can Tout
Back from vacation
Content recap
Book Club: In limbo
If you’ve spent any time in the fantasy space, you quickly realize that everyone thinks they are smarter than the fantasy analysts they follow for advice.
And then an idea hit me.
I need to create a competition where these people can actually try to prove it.
This summer I’m hosting the first fantasy football reality show. It’s called So You Think You Can Tout.
I always like to work on one new thing each year and when this came to me, I knew it was the perfect project to tackle this summer.
I announced it yesterday and I’m legitimately blown away by the interest and how many quality submissions have already rolled in.
Quick FAQ: This competition is for literally anyone interested in breaking into the fantasy space. I truly don’t care if you currently make content or not, if you have a big following or not, etc. I’m hunting for talent and potential and people who are hungry to make it happen.
I put together a full announcement video on the Deposit Kingdom channel where I walk through everything:
What the competition looks like
The prizes
The application process and deadline (April 23)
& what the show will require from contestants
Don’t apply until watching the video because there are some very important instructions on how to execute the “audition tape” that are easy to miss:
There’s no huge rush on submitting the application, although getting it out now gives you time to campaign and rally support.
It also gives me fodder for some upcoming videos where I’ll be reviewing some initial submissions, answering Q&A, and giving you a peek behind the curtain, so make sure you are subscribed.
And if you are ready to take the plunge, then submit your application here:
As Gus Hansen would say, it’s going to be a great summer.
Other notes:
I’ve been playing catch-up this week after getting back from vacation in Florida with the family. We had an awesome time in Key West and April was truly in her element. I posted some photos on Instagram.
While I was away, a big story in the DFS space broke. It involves a CEO of a DFS company welching on a $500,000 bet and then deleting their entire online presence. We did a deep dive on the story for LOLz and the guy who got stiffed on the bet even swung by to share more details.
I fired up a Wednesday edition of Best Ball Breakfast and Jakob Sanderson joined me for a draft (and lamenting the quality of this year’s RB draft class).
For Fantasy Life, I wrote up a handful of buys and sells after comparing our rankings to current ADP. I also reviewed the latest dysfunction in Philly surrounding Jalen Hurts.
The ADP Chasing crew did an extended segment on the rising cost of RBs and how to handle it in drafts. I love this show.
Finally, I’m rolling a solo After Dark on Saturday (8pm ET). I’ll draft a Big Board team, answer Qs, talk So You Think You Can Tout, etc. Want access to DFS After Dark shows on Saturday & a private DFS Discord channel? Become a Best Ball Value Hounds member on Youtube.

The most hilarious thing I packed on our trip to Florida was a book—as if I’d have any time to read while chasing April around the pool.
Anyway, I’m slacking right now and need to get in the lab with another selection. I am currently working my way through this book called The Score: How to Stop Playing Somebody Else's Game by C. Thi Nguyen, but I didn’t know how much appeal that would have for everyone else.
If anyone has any good suggestions for an April read, let me know.
🧱 Book #2 for February (COMPLETED): Lincoln in the Bardo by George Saunders
🧱 Book #1 for January (COMPLETED): The City and Its Uncertain Walls by Haruki Murakami.
Got a question for me? Reply to this e-mail and I’ll get back to you…
