In this week's P.O. Box:
FAQs & PSAs for the show
Zero RB vs. Robust RB
After Dark on tap w/ Denny Carter
Book Club: A new sci-fi selection
I was honestly not expecting so many applications to So You Think You Can Tout this quickly. In just over a week, we are already at 45 applications and we still have a little less than two weeks to go.
I’ve been reposting a ton of the public submissions on my X, but I also put together a new video on the Deposit Kingdom channel after reviewing the first wave of submissions.
A few thoughts so far…
As expected, we have tons of applications from the best ball/streamer universe. I love my best ball bros, but I would also like to see more submissions from people within other spheres of the fantasy universe. If you know someone who would be good for this, please send them the info.
The “truth serum” portion of the video application remains the most difficult concept for people. I shared one of my own in the video in hopes of inspiring people to stop giving me fantasy hot taeks and nail the spirit of the prompt:
If anything, I think some people rushed their submissions. I appreciate the enthusiasm, but with so many submissions the most creative and interesting applications will naturally bubble to the top.
Thanks to Jeff Edelstein for the coverage on InGame.
What’s next? We might have a villain on our hands. We also have our first beef brewing. Check out Best Ball Bash where my first guest and show applicant Rickadoodle fired some shots at PPR Tyler. Spicy…
Other notes:
Zero RB vs. Robust RB. On Monday’s Best Ball Breakfast I was challenged by the chat to draft a true Zero RB team. Other than an unfortunate incident involving a carrot cake latte, I thought it turned out really well. I wrote up the exercise for Fantasy Life. Then later on Ship Chasing, the four of us drafted the opposite of a Zero RB team—it was not your grandfather’s SC draft.
Drafts Gone Wild During Spring Break. My final Bash guest, Jeremy, brought his 11-year old son Hampton on stream and he stole the show.
For the Fantasy Life newsletter, I spent the week going over the strengths and weaknesses of this 2026 draft class—RBs on Tuesday, WRs on Wednesday, and TEs on Thursday.
If there is one show built for the Russini/Vrabel affair story, it is ADP Chasing. Thankfully the news broke just minutes before they went live on Tuesday.
OOTC & the Swolecast were Masters focused this week. Calcuttas are so much fun, even if I went a little overboard.
I jumped on the Spike Week pod with Erik Beimfohr to discuss the evolution of best ball over the past six years. A lot has changed, but a lot hasn’t. Fun convo.
Finally, After Dark returns tonight (8pm ET) with special guest Denny Carter. We have some frisbee stories to exchange and lots to catch up on. Want access to DFS After Dark shows on Saturday & a private DFS Discord channel? Become a Best Ball Value Hounds member on Youtube.

Ok, I’m finally ready to start a new book. I’m in a sci-fi mood after catching Project Hail Mary in theaters on Tuesday—don’t say it don’t say it don’t say it…the book was better.
Anyways, I like the sound of this suggestion from Sackreligious:
🕷 Book #3 for April(Haven’t Started): Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky
The last remnants of the human race left a dying Earth, desperate to find a new home among the stars. Following in the footsteps of their ancestors, they discover the greatest treasure of the past age—a world terraformed and prepared for human life.
But all is not right in this new Eden. In the long years since the planet was abandoned, the work of its architects has borne disastrous fruit. The planet is not waiting for them, pristine and unoccupied. New masters have turned it from a refuge into mankind's worst nightmare.
Now two civilizations are on a collision course, both testing the boundaries of what they will do to survive. As the fate of humanity hangs in the balance, who are the true heirs of this new Earth?
It’s a long one, but sounds fun. Let’s do it…
💀 Book #2 for February (COMPLETED): Lincoln in the Bardo by George Saunders
🧱 Book #1 for January (COMPLETED): The City and Its Uncertain Walls by Haruki Murakami.
