London Falling heats up
One of the most fun subplots to this season of So You Think You Can Tout has been the inclusion of The Toxic Tower—a trio of best ball bros and aspiring content creators (PPR Tyler, Emo Cowboy, and Best Ball Guy) who have no qualms about wearing their emotions on their sleeve…and throwing each other under the bus.
They’ve injected the show with all of the elements that make for great reality tv—big personalities who don’t self-censor or shy away from conflict.
During the early stages of the contest, PPR Tyler—one of the trio who had earned “Lock” status after a great submission—was given a choice on whether to save his co-host who was on the ropes, Best Ball Guy, or lock-up $500 in Underdog site credits instead.
His decision resulted in one of the best moments in the show so far.
Of course, I’m a sucker for a callback…and I always knew we’d revisit this betrayal.
It happened sooner than I thought, but PPR Tyler found himself on the ropes after two subpar challenges and so I called up Best Ball Guy to give him a similar choice: save PPR Tyler or earn a week of streaming with me and free promotion.
In true Toxic fashion, he chose “BBG Week” over saving Tyler.
