In this week's P.O. Box:
Post-Super Bowl activities
Content roundup
Book Club: Murakami
You know it’s the week after the Super Bowl when…
You conclude the final Pourtfolio Review of the season with a brainstorming session on how to spend Sundays going forward. S/o to Matthew who suggested candlepin bowling. I’m always looking for good indoor toddler activities and I had not thought of this.
You try to avoid the “unc” allegations by going on an internet deep dive to discover what this viral sentence meant: “Clavicular got brutally frame mogged by an ASU frat leader.” Luckily I find this shockingly well-made (and disturbing) documentary about the aforementioned Clavivicular and the bizarre world of “looksmaxxing.” Feel free to ignore, but it will answer all your questions if you were as curious as me.
You start writing about TEs hitting free agency and why 2026 is setting up to be a great year for the Late Round QB strategy. I still refuse to draft 2026 teams, though. Give me a few weeks, please.
You spend way too long arguing about the state of A.I. with your Swolecast co-hosts.
You get deep into the weeds on NBA DFS slates while trying to qualify for the Dawg Bowl. S/o Zakarian and Gumby for qualifying this past week. Also, while we are giving s/o…how about former YouTube guest Beef Stew making headlines!
You get fully dialed in with a new workout routine and a diet. I started this Kettlebell mobility program (s/o Wiggins for the recc), have been tracking calories, and getting back to 10k daily steps. I’m also doing my own “dry” February, so healthmaxxing all around.
Other content notes:
PO Box newsletters will drop on Friday mornings instead of Saturday now that we’ve hit the offseason.
ADP Chasing returned with a new slot on Tuesday nights. This was my first introduction to the 2026 rookie class.
We discussed prediction markets with Jeff Edelstein on LOLz.
After Dark returns tonight with guest Fantasy Football Garage—a friend of the channel and an up-and-coming streamer focusing on Underdog golf contests.

🧱 Book #1 for January (75%): The City and Its Uncertain Walls by Haruki Murakami.
All of my early concerns with this story getting bogged down have completely evaporated. I’ve been fully hooked down this homestretch and loved the introduction of the boy with the Yellow Submarine parka.
Btw, my buddy Cam sent me a nice profile on Murakami in a recent edition of the NYT.
I loved this line from his editor, Lexy Bloom:
“He starts in our world and then he takes you into his world. You don’t even notice that you’re there, you’ve just gone with him.”
Also, because there was some more Murakami convo in the Discord, here are my Top 5 (and order I would read them in parentheses):
Norwegian Wood (2)
1Q84 (5)
