🎉 Join me for a Best Ball Bash. I’m launching a new show next week called Best Ball Bash that will run on Wednesday afternoons (1pm et) for the rest of the summer. The second half of the show will be familiar—The Randomzier (Ian Hartitz is our guest for kickoff ep)—but the first half of the show is going to involve someone from the chat hopping on the stream to draft a Best Ball Mania team with me (gulp):

To be eligible to draft with me, all you need to do is 1) be a member on the channel 2) chat #jointhebash at the top of the show 3) be able to jump on the show with no tech issues. See ya Wednesday.

🚽 Potty training rollercoaster. We’ve been in the thick of potty training this week after starting last Friday. We’ve experienced the full range of emotions—from the depressing lows of cleaning up messes and getting peed on, to the incredible highs of an accident-free day. I will not miss diapers, but I will miss April telling me “Dad you are doing a good job” whenever I go to the bathroom with her.

🏃 Underdog Cardio Club is back. UCC is back for 2025. There are lots of cool prizes depending on how many Cardio Club drafts you complete, plus additional prizes for the top performing UCC teams. I’ll be hosting another IRL event in Boston later this summer, as well.

📺️ What I’m Watching. We’ve been primarily locked on HBO these days. The Rehearsal has been a wild ride, although this upcoming ending feels abrupt…I’m really not a zombie TV show kinda guy, but Last Of Us S2 has been hitting the right notes for me…Hacks remains a very enjoyable weekly watch…We saw Sinners in theaters a few weeks ago and loved it…We also watched Conclave the other night on Amazon Prime but I was confused when the Chicago guy didn’t win…We’re going to see Friendship tonight. Can’t wait.

📚️ June Book Selection. I’m craving a sci-fi book after a string of non-fiction selections. I tossed out a short list to the Discord. If you have any thoughts on these that I’m deciding between, let me know. I’ll pick one by next week’s newsletter:

I’m almost done with this. I continue to enjoy the atmospherics and some of the slow burn drama surrounding the undercover mission. The night when the poachers all abandoned him around the camp fire was intense and fun. Still, this ultimately feels more suited as a magazine piece than as a full length book.
