In this week's P.O. Box:

  • A busy week, content recap

  • Book Club: Spidersssss

Another busy week in the books. Everything is a blur at this point, but let’s try to recap…

After narrowing the So You Think You Can Tout field from 135 to 27, we immediately got rolling on the next challenge with the contenders. That episode is being edited now and will drop on Monday.

I’ve seen some criticisms from fans that this contest has been heavy on entertainment and light on fantasy football touting. That’s fair, but this next challenge is going to demonstrate very clearly who can talk ball and who can’t. Can’t wait for you to see it. Make sure you are subscribed to the channel for the live premiere.

Elsewhere within the SYTYCT universe:

  • On Monday’s After Dark, we gave honest reviews of the SYTYCT submissions that didn’t make the cut and piggybacked on a lot of the advice we wrote about last week.

  • On Thursday, we hosted a special SYTYCT Calcutta on the Swolecast channel. I recused myself from participating, but was very intrigued with some of the pricing:

  • Speaking of pricing, two contestants—Blizzy and Rickadoozle—created an official betting board with odds for every contestant. Very fun watch if you’ve been following the show closely.

  • I created a Tout Tiers game so anyone can tier rank all of the remaining contestants.

Other Content Notes:

  • We fired up one last Best Ball Breakfast before the schedule was released and reacted to recent news—Breece Hall, David Njoku….Chris Boswell—in drafts.

  • We kept it rolling on Off & On The Clock with a look at how to approach “the timeboxed” contests on Underdog. We somehow drafted a team with four Jets, whoops.

  • On the Bash, we drafted with three familiar faces and ended up with three shares of CMC.

  • On Ship Chasing, we each filled out a survey predicting what the winning BBM7 lineup will look like and it led to some fun strategy discussions.

  • For some macro best ball strategy advice, I joined Levitan and Herzig on ETR to rank the Top-9 strategies for 2026.

  • We put players on trial for 2026 on the Fantasy Life Show this week. Me vs. Cooterdoodle with the honorary judge Kendall Valenzuela presiding over the proceedings.

  • On the Swolecast, we recapped some current beefs happening in the fantasy space before debating topics like the best sports month and whether podcasts are dead as a medium.

  • ADP Chasing discussed all the latest movement in drafts. No squirrel incidents this week, fortunately.

  • In the Fantasy Life Newsletter this week, we discussed rankings fallout for a lot of news items, including: David Njoku muddying things in Los Angeles, coachspeak on the Bucs WRs, and the Malik Nabers scope. For my Week 17 bros excited about the schedule, Jonathan has you covered.

Also—this debate is still raging on somehow. Which side do you got?

🕷 Book #3 for April (75%): Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky

I’ve found myself mostly not that interested in the human thread and have skimmed some of those parts, but I’m loving every plot revolving around the spiders. There’s so much going on—religion, war, science, social—it’s very fun.

I should be landing this plane soon and we’ll fire up a new book. I think I want to do that new Patrick Radden Keefe book.

💀 Book #2 for February (COMPLETED): Lincoln in the Bardo by George Saunders
🧱 Book #1 for January (COMPLETED): The City and Its Uncertain Walls by Haruki Murakami.
